Do I have to use the JeNu Conducting Gel Or JeNu Infusion Gel with my JeNu Plus Ultrasonic Infuser?
The Gels are essential in getting your desired results. All of our clinical study results were conducted using our Gel. However, we have had customers tell us that they use aloe vera or another brand conducting gel and like the results. We just can't guarantee it as we do have a proprietary blend of ingredients that was specially formulated to infuse your skincare products.
-
What is the difference between JeNu Plus and the original JeNu Ultrasonic Infuser?
The Plus is more powerful! It's the same amount of pulses but a higher duty cycle. The 365,000 pulses per second are giving a more powerful push, which in essence is making for faster absorption of your skincare.
-
I have the JeNu Plus and wanted to know why my face pills while using this? I only use just the right amount of gel based on the instructions?
The All-Natural JeNu Infusion Gel formula utilizes a mineral bond emulsion that comes from a unique clay located in France. This emulsion process eliminates the need for synthetic emulsifiers but can ball up if not wiped off after use. If you have excess Gel on the skin after, you can do a few different things - wipe away with a cleansing cloth, gently buff it away with a dry cloth (this has the added benefit of micro-circulation to detoxify cells) or do a quick rinse.
Don't worry! You won't be removing your skincare product! After treatment, you will have maximized absorption of your skin care serums and creams!

I have a MicrodermMD and the suction is no longer working? What do I do?
Have you checked to see if both the clear rubber O-rings are in place? Is the machine turning on, but there is just weak suction when you turn up the power? Also, check the diamond tip very closely to see if there are any cracks in the white portion of the diamond tip, even a hairline crack can result in loss of suction. After you finish troubleshooting, contact us for the proper course of action.
-
How to clean the Trophy Skin diamond tip?
After each treatment, use the cleaning brush included in your kit to safely brush away the dead skin cells that have collected between the diamonds. It is fine to use mild soap and water on the tip while it is not attached to the wand. (Be sure that the tip is completely dry and a new filter is in place before putting the tip back on the wand.) To extend the life of your diamond tip and restore it to new condition, we recommend using an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. You can find this appliance at general merchandise discounters, craft stores and online stores such as Amazon.Alternatively, you can take the diamond tip into most jewelry or repair stores, and they will be able to clean it using an ultrasonic cleaner for a small fee.
-
Does the type of exfoliation really matter?
It does matter a great deal. MicrodermMD does not use crystals or abrasive creams, thereby increasing ease of use and consumer safety by eliminating the potential for ingestion, inhalation, and eye injury. Real diamonds are precise, high quality abrasives that allow you to work near sensitive and hard to reach areas such as the nose and mouth without covering them. Real diamonds are less irritating than traditional crystals and they are hypoallergenic for an effective, comfortable and safe experience. Non-diamond or loose abrasives are less refined and may cause unnecessary discomfort including irritation to the eyes and breathing passageways.
-
What type of microdermabrasion is used by plastic surgeons and other physicians?
Most medical practitioners these days are using a diamond based, crystal-free system. These professional systems deliver added coarseness and suction levels to fully customize the treatments. With MicrodermMD, we have designed a device based on the same principles as these medical grade systems, using the same dual-action therapy that the professional models use in medical clinics.
-
Can I use my own skincare products with the MicrodermMD?
You will want to have clean, dry skin with no products applied immediately prior to your microderm treatment. We recommend the use of a high quality anti-aging serum or moisturizer immediately after each treatment. The skin will readily absorb products now that the top layer of dead skin cells have been removed, so this is an ideal time to apply high quality products that will aid in your skincare goals.
You will also want to take care combining microdermabrasion with other exfoliating treatments, like AHA. Please contact customer service for more information.
-
Can I use MicrodermMD to treat my whole body or only my face?
Medical microdermabrasion is considered a valuable combination therapy to a number of different treatments including chemical peels, topical infusion and laser treatments. With the MicrodermMD, the same concept applies. After removing the dead layer of skin, your topical products will penetrate the skin much better. You will also notice that makeup applies much easier and stays on better.
-
How soon will I see some improvement?
Skin responses vary between individuals but many people will see noticeable results after the first treatment, and everyone will see continued improvement over time. One of the benefits of suction is some skin redness that goes away soon after the treatment. The redness tells us that the suction from the device is doing its job by getting the body to circulate blood to the necessary layers of the skin.
-
What is diamond peel exfoliation?
Diamond peel exfoliation is an advanced form of microdermabrasion - a skin rejuvenating and enhancing cosmetic procedure. Popular in day spas and medical aesthetic centers, this treatment is now available at home with MicrodermMD. During the treatment, the outer layer of skin is removed using light abrasion which promotes the growth of healthy new cells. The suction used in the treatment also increases blood flow to the epidermis which rebuilds collagen and elastin for younger looking skin with a rejuvenated glow.
-
How do I choose the treatment settings?
The treatment depends on the suction level you choose, the user experience, and your owner personal comfort level. This doesn't mean that you must use the highest suction level at all times. You must adjust the treatments to your own skin. The MicrodermMD has our "AUTO Mode" feature to guide you through a treatment. This is extremely helpful for new users as it varies suction levels and utilizes the LCD panel to guide the user through and entire microderm treatment.
-
What is MicrodermMD and why is it so effective?
MicrodermMD is one of the first at-home microdermabrasion machines using dual-action therapy with a combination of diamond tipped exfoliation AND suction, enabling you to have true microdermabrasion treatments at home. Without suction, your skin will not realize the benefits of true microdermabrasion. While the exfoliation aspect of microdermabrasion is evident to anyone who has had a treatment, the suction element is the true behind the scenes hero. The combination of exfoliation and suction is what gives your skin the healthy afterglow that is associated with microdermabrasion.
-
How long should a MicrodermMD treatment take?
Each treatment depends on the individual. An average treatment should take no longer than 5 minutes. The Auto Mode is a 5 minute treatment for full face and neck. Of course, if you are going to treat other body parts in addition to your face (such as chest, hands, scarred areas) it will take a little longer.
-
How often should I use MicrodermMD for optimal results?
This depends on your skin's condition, but a general guideline is 2-3 times a week for ongoing maintenance and as often as desired for special occasions. It is best to use your mirror to make sure you progress smoothly from one point to another and avoid uneven results.
If you have sensitive skin, you will want to use a lower setting and use less often.
The rule of thumb is, if your skin does not have sensitivity from a previous treatment then it is safe to do another home microderm.
-
I am a beginner, what do you suggest I do the first time I use MicrodermMD?
Do not press the diamond tip firmly against the face. Use smooth even strokes. When using, brace the skin with your free hand and let the tip gently glide across the skin as the suction does the work.
-
Is it normal if I see redness after use?
Yes, you may experience some redness and/or skin sensitivity after treatments. This is normal. It should fade shortly after treatment. If you continue to have discomfort and redness of the skin, lower the suction setting and frequency of use until you are comfortable. If you are still experiencing redness or discomfort, give your skin a rest for a few days.

The ultradermMD is a new and improved microdermMD. You get all those features you wish you had with the microdermMD with this fantastic device. You still get the 3 modes that the microdermMD has, however, you will additionally get a new kinetic toning mode that will help with wrinkles, firm your skin, and restore a glow back into your skin's appearance. It will now have a pore mode to help you focus on getting rid of the debris hiding in your pores. -
How can I charge my UltradermMD?
The UltradermMD will include a USB cable that may be plugged into any USB adapter. Note, a USB adapter is not included. Once you plug the adapter into the wall and also into the back of the UltradermMD, the battery icon in the bottom right corner should begin to flash. If the device is plugged in it will always flash. MiniMD
-
What is included in the MiniMD kit?
The MiniMD comes with a Standard Diamond Tip and a pack of 30 filters. It has 6 months warranty.
-
How do you place and replace the black filters?
You can twist and pull the diamond tip from the MiniMD. The wool filter will sit on the small screen mesh that protects the suction motor.
-
How often do you replace the filters?
We recommend that you use a new filter each time you are doing microdermabrasion. This is important to prolong the life of the suction motor. Using a used filter will cause the suction motor to work harder and may damage it. You can buy replacement filters for $15. It is a small price to pay to protect your more expensive investment, your microdermabrasion device!
-
Is this battery operated?
No. Trophy Skin’s microdermabrasion devices are not battery-operated. It has to be plugged in a wall outlet when used. We find that battery-powered devices will lose power overtime and it will affect the user’s quality of treatment. Microdermabrasion uses the power of suction to help increase blood circulation and pull in skin debris, oils and sebum. If it has a faulty power source, it may not be powerful enough to do anything or worse, it may turn off in the middle of a treatment!
-
How many suction levels does it have?
The MiniMD has 2 suction levels, low and high. Press the power button once to use the low suction level and twice to use the high level. The suction level ranges from 10.3 to 22.14 in/Hg.
-
How long does the diamond tip last?
A diamond head can last anywhere from 3-6 months depending on usage. We recommend changing within this timeframe to ensure you always have an effective tip. We recommend that you wash the diamond tip with a soft brush, gentle soap, and water after every use to prevent skin debris from dulling the tip. Allow to air dry.
-
Can I buy other Diamond Tips for my MiniMD?
Definitely! All Trophy Skin diamond tips (Standard Diamond Tip, Fine Diamond Tip, Precision Tip, Large Diamond Tip, Pore Extraction Tip, and Pore Infusion Tip) will fit the MiniMD, RejuvadermMD, and MicrodermMD. Simply twist and pull the standard diamond tip and put in a different diamond tip.
-
I travel a lot. Can this work anywhere in the world?
The MiniMD comes with an adapter that works for 100-240V. It has a standard US two-pinned metal prong and may be used anywhere in the world. Some countries may require an adapter to fit local outlets like UK and EU.
-
Does it help reduce pore size?
Pores appear large when oil and dead skin stretches it out. In our clinical trial, 80% of users noted decrease in pore size after 4-6 weeks use. Of course, it needs constant work as dead skin and oil accumulate daily. We recommend to do microdermabrasion once up to 3 times weekly for best results.
-
Can this remove scar tissues?
MiniMD may help improve the appearance of scars by buffing the top layers but it will depend on what type of scars you are working with. With regular use, it can help remove pigmentation scars like post-acne scars. Some scars may be too deep in the skin or might have resulted in extensive tissue damage that may need surgical removal. It is best to consult your doctor how best to heal scars.
-
Can I use this on my body?
Sure you can! You may use this on your face, neck, chest, back, hands, even your legs! To make the work easier, get our Large Diamond Tip to make treatments faster. Remember to check and replace the wool filters if using on a large surface of the skin to prevent the motor from over-working.
-
Do you need to wash your face again after using the device?
After using the MiniMD, we recommend that you rinse your face with water to remove skin debris. No need to use a cleanser, just plain water. Follow with an anti-inflammatory serum and moisturizer.
-
Is this effective for sun/brown spots?
Yes. Regular microdermabrasion will help fade age spots however, this doesn’t happen overnight. We recommend to work on the area 2-3 times per week to help accelerate cell turnover. You should see improvements in 4-6 weeks. It also helps to wear sunscreen or sun-protective clothing to prevent further development of sun/brown spots.
-
How often can you use it?
At-home microdermabrasion can be used once up to 3 times per week depending on how well your skin can tolerate it. It is safe to do at-home microdermabrasion more often than in-office treatments because we do not exfoliate too deep. We recommend that you do not pass the same area more than twice to prevent cutting too deep in the skin.
-
Can I use this to treat acne?
Regular microdermabrasion helps prevent acne by exfoliating the skin to prevent clogged pores and build-up of dead skin that may later become infected and become an active breakout. However, we do not recommend using microdermabrasion on an active acne as it may pop the pimple and spread the acne-causing bacteria.
-
Does it remove blackheads?
MiniMD comes with the standard diamond tip and can buff away the skin that clogs pores. With regular use, it can help prevent blackhead-formation and loosen the skin to allow for easier extraction. MMiniMD may be used with the Pore Extraction Tip to help blackhead extraction easier. Tip: use a facial steamer or wash your face with lukewarm water to help open up the pores for easier extraction. Use the low-level setting and do not dwell on the same area for too long to prevent having red, hickey-like spots on the face.

-
How soon will I see some improvement?
Skin responses vary between individuals but many people will see noticeable results after the first treatment, and everyone will see continued improvement over time. Many people will notice a pink or reddish look after the treatment, which is completely normal. The redness tells us that the suction from the device is doing its job by getting the body to circulate blood to the necessary layers of the skin.
-
How often should I use RejuvadermMD for optimal results?
This depends on your skin's condition, but a general guideline is 2-3 times per week for ongoing maintenance and as often as desired for special occasions. It is best to treat yourself in front of a mirror to make sure you progress smoothly from one point to another and avoid uneven results.
-

Each treatment depends on the individual. Some of us have small faces, while others have slightly larger ones. Some have difficult contours and others do not. An average treatment should take no longer than 5 minutes.
-
How do I choose the treatment settings?
The treatment depends on the suction level you choose, the user experience, and your owner personal comfort level. This doesn't mean that you must use the highest suction level at all times. Do I need to clean the diamond tip, and how?
You are correct that the diamond tip needs to be cleaned to extend the life of the tip, and it will also make your treatments more effective to keep the diamond tip coarse and in new condition. The best way to clean the diamond tip is to use an Ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. These can be purchased online at the link below, or found in most Walmart super centers. Alternatively, you can take the diamond tip into most jewelry or repair stores, and they will be able to clean it using an ultrasonic cleaner for a small fee.
RejuvaliteMD
-
How long do I need to use the product?
The old version of our RejuvaliteMD needs to be used 15-20 minutes per session. These are the oval-shaped lamps that was also called RedMD.
The newer version of our RejuvaliteMD, the one with the rectangular LED panel, is equipped with a 5 minute auto shut-off timer. You just need 5 minutes to treat one area. The custom-made bulbs are designed to give the same power as a 20-minute treatment of the old lamp in just 5 minutes.
-
Does the light cover the whole face while using?
We recommend to position the LED panel 4 inches away from the skin for optimal facial coverage. If you prefer to do 2 5-minute treatments to treat both sides of the face, that is fine too.
-
3 Rows of the Panel do not light up. Is this defective?
No. The 3 rows that are unlit are infrared bulbs that are naturally naked to the human eyes. These bulbs do not give color because human eyes cannot detect these wavelengths. Infrared bulbs are necessary to penetrate deeper in the skin and help reduce inflammation and excite cellular activity.
-
Do I need to replace the LED panel?
RejuvaliteMD comes with a 1 year warranty but the LED bulbs are made to last for years. If you need replacement, you can also purchase our LED panel that is also sold in Trophy Skin website. You may also buy our BlueMD panel to convert your lamp to an acne-busting lamp.
-
Is eye protection needed?
Both RejuvaliteMD and BlueMD comes with free goggles to protect the eyes from the bright light. Although light therapy is considered safe and harmless, it is not recommended to stare at the bright light for long. It can cause problems with vision, headache, or trigger epilepsy for people with light sensitivity.
Even if you close your eyes, we still recommend that you wear the provided goggles to prevent drying up the skin on the eye area. If unsure, you may consult your doctor if light therapy is safe for you.
-
What is the energy output for the RejuvaliteMD/BlueMD?
The LEDs have an output of 100mW each, and when you look at the surface area (centimeters squared) it’s about 100mW/cm2 of energy output.
Joules are energy delivered over time, so since the treatment time of the RejuvaliteMD is 5 minutes, the device would deliver 30 joules of energy per cm of the skin during the 5 minute usage time.
-
What is the power output (wattage) for the light therapy devices?
The power output for the RejuvaliteMD and BlueMD is 12,000 mW or 12 Watts.
-
There are several lights not working on my device, what should I do?
There are 4 different colors of LED bulbs. However, the infrared (IR) bulbs cannot be seen with the human eye, since they are outside of the visible spectrum, and will appear to be "off".
The IR bulbs penetrate deepest into the skin, since they are the longest wavelength. These bulbs help to heat deep into the dermis, causing new collagen and elastin, and are very beneficial for anti-aging. However, as we note in the user manual, these will appear "off" while they are indeed working, and they comprise 25% of the LED panel (spread throughout the panel).
-
Can I apply the product before conducting treatment with my RejuvaliteMD?
It is best to have a clean face. However, if the product has a light active ingredient in it, you can use it during treatment. Our light-enhancing serum is perfect to use during treatment!
-
Can I use my RejuvaliteMD and microdermabrasion unit on the same days?
Yes, it is best to use the RejuvaliteMD after microdermabrasion. Red light therapy helps speed up your skin's natural healing process, which is best to use after microdermabrasion.
RejuvatoneMD
-
Why is my RejuvatoneMD not making any noise or vibrations?
This device is a microcurrent unit and will only work if you have the gel applied. The gel helps conduct the current. It is best to put a pearl-size amount on each probe. Please note most users did not feel sensation until they reached 4-5!
BlueMD LED Panel
-
Can I use the BlueMD in conjunction with other oral or topical medications?
Over the counter creams such as benzoyl peroxide can be used in conjunction with the BlueMD. However, the skin must be cleaned and dried before each treatment with the BlueMD. Only after completing your treatment may you reapply any topical medications (we recommend waiting 30 minutes after treatment before applying topical creams other than moisturizer). For topical prescriptions, we advise that you speak with your doctor first regarding and specific side effects and/or interactions.
-
How far away do I need to place the BlueMD?
When using the BlueMD, place the head of the device 4-6 inches from the skin for optimal intensity and results. The bulbs may get warm during treatment, so care should be taken when moving around or turning off the device. It will take several minutes to cool once the treatment has finished.
-
How is Blue Light Therapy different than the creams, gels, and antibiotics I have used to treat acne in the past?
Blue Light Therapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment that works by killing acne causing bacteria, which is the source of acne for almost 90% of acne sufferers. The main difference is that Blue Light Acne Therapy works only on the acne itself, and generally does not cause skin irritation like harsh creams and gels that are full of chemicals. In addition, Blue Light Therapy does not suppress the immune system or cause damage like using antibiotics over a long period of time.
-
Is Blue Light Therapy safe, and what is the proof that it works?
Over the past 20 years, there have been numerous studies performed by dermatologic associations around the world. These studies first proved that Blue Light Therapy is safe for teenagers and adults, with no known side effects other than dry skin in some users. These studies showed that light in the 405-420nm range was highly effective in killing p.acnes bacterium, the bacteria that causes 90% of all acne. When used in conjunction with eye protection goggles (included with every order), the BlueMD is a safe and effective treatment for acne.
-
What kind of results can I expect to see, and how quickly?
The BlueMD works at different intervals for each user, so there is no easy answer to this question. However, a general guideline is that within 3 weeks there should be a noticeable difference in the amount and severity of your acne. It can take much longer for some people to see results, if you are concerned about going over the Guarantee period please contact us so we can allow an extension.
Please note that a small percentage of users may experience a temporary increase in acne, as the bacteria is pulled to the skin's surface. This will subside with consistent usage, and will ultimately result in clear skin.
-
Where on the body can I not use the BlueMD?
The BlueMD is effective on acne almost anywhere on the body. Popular areas include the face, back, and chest. Make sure to wear the included goggles whenever using the BlueMD, no matter what body area you are treating.
-
Who cannot use the BlueMD?
Women who are pregnant cannot use the device. People on prescription medicine that is photosensitive should not use the BlueMD. If you are unsure about your medication, please contact your physician. Only children 13 and older may use the BlueMD.
